Advanced
Strength:
-Super stable and solid at all speeds -Can handle any radius turns, but definately superior at short ones -Very easy turn initiation w/ HUGE rebound at the end of the turn -Handles varied terrain extremely well for a race ski (I've handled them in 2 inches of slush, crud, and even used them in Whistler back bowls successfully!) -Carves perfect arcs b/c of huge shape -PRECISE!! -Can find great deals on them if you look(we sold them w/o plate for less than $350)
Weakness:
Don't get me wrong on this one, the edge grip is fantastic, but on east coast pock-marked boilerplate blue ice, I've used skis with better edge grip. And, I have a pretty lightweight binding on them (Tyrolia Cyber D8 with the 13mm lifter underneath), but they still are a tiny bit too heavy...but that may be why they are so stable and smooth. Normally I don't take the time to post reviews, but I absolutely had to in this case. I have these skis in 160cm(so short!) and I'm 6'1" and pretty aggressive despite my weight(150lbs). They are BY FAR the best skis I have ever skied on, and coming from someone who works in a ski shop, I'd say that's a pretty good compliment. One note: use a lot of lift on this ski to get the most out of it... I have the 13mm plate that most come with, and a 31mm binding on top of that, and i could easily go taller :) Similar Products Used: Volkl P40 SL '01 Head SL WC w/ chip '03 Nordica SL Gel Driver (?)
