Bought these thinking any spherical lens would be great but didn't do enough research. Came from using Spy goggles so they were definitely a step up.

The Good: Comfy, don't fog up at all, great field of vision, like the clip on the strap - makes putting em on easy over a beanie...

The Bad: Horrible flat light/shadow performance with the RC36 lens; too much air moving through at high speeds making my eyes water, even with vents closed off; damn ugly! - sort of a bug-eyed look.

I recently got Oakley Crowbars with a black iridium lens and the difference is rediculous (Shoulda went Oakley first...) Supposedly the Oakley lens is 18% transmission versus 36% for the Smith, but the Oaks are far superior in flat light and shadows, and overall everything seems more clear. There is definitely something to be said for their lenses! (plus impact resistance) I like that the Smith lenses cost less to replace but you get what you pay for...
