Leedom Limit Helmets

Leedom Limit Helmets

DESCRIPTION

Optimum fit is the foundation of Leedom ski and snowboard helmets. Your helmet must fit properly to provide comfort, protection and performance. The helmet should fit snug on your head, without causing discomfort. To test your helmet's fit, wear the helmet and hold either side of the helmet while turning your head from side to side. An optimum helmet fit should turn with your head. If your head moves within the helmet, the helmet is too big. If you cannot find the correct size helmet, after trying the different sizes, utilize Leedom's Fit Kit. When trying on your Leedom helmet be sure that the positioning is correct. The front of the helmet should be directly above your eyebrows. The proper fit and positioning of your Leedom helmet will provide your head with the highest level of added protection and performance.

Snowboarder

The helmet internal foam and fabric separated from the plastic shell. The chin strap clip (fastex buckle) also broke despite taking great care of the helmet. This is a very hot helmet that does not breath well. I have two Leedoms and both are hot even though I have a model with the extra vents. The hard plastic shell is the best thing about this helmet.

Customer Service

Leedom has the worst customer service in the industry. Option Snowboards has the second worst C.S.. I e-mailed Leedom 3 times to get the buckle replaced and got no reply. I even called them twice and gave my address for a replacement buckle which Leedom promised they would send. I spoke with a person (not a message machine) and 5 months later, I still have not seen a replacement buckle.

Strength:

It protects my head!! Isn't that enough?! Also, the earflaps are great -- I can actually hear, it's not too hot on sunny days, and I can wear a full-face ski mask underneath the helmet on really cold days. You can't do that with a solid helmet like the Leedom Scream or Giro Ravine, cuz your head will be too bulky to fit the brain bucket.

Weakness:

Looks. It's dorky like the other 99.9% of the helmets out there. Leedom's sizes are slightly different from convention. They have in-between sizes like S/M and M/L in addition to the conventional S, M, L, and XL. So if you buy online, take note.

More comfortable than I expected. Literally does not feel like I was wearing a helmet.

Strength:

Leedom's temperature regulation is probably the best in the industry. You will never be too hot or too cold in this helmet. It's also highly affordable, comfortable, and stylish.

Weakness:

Sizing seems smaller than other helmets. The exposed earcuff design can lead to breakage of the foam around the ear if the helmet isn't carefully packed for trips or storage.

Bang for buck (no pun intended) this is probably one of the best helmets available provided you fit Leedoms mold. Perhaps the greatest aspect of the helmet is it's highly function venting system. I had no troubles staying cool or staying warm in various climates. Comfort and style aren't shorted in this affordable lid. Unfortunately I have an odd shaped head and this helmet wasn't a good fit for me. I bought the helmet based on my fitted hat size and was assured by a sales associate that it fit properly. After a few days of use I began to realize the helmet wasn't a good overall fit though it was still comfortable. The helmet was later damaged in transit while packed inside a helmet bag which was secured inside my snowboard bag. Despite the padding in both bags a chunk of foam near the ear piece was broken and dislodged. This is truly a mistake on my part but I didn't expect the helmet to be quite so fragile.

Strength:

. Looks sick. . Snell98 certified. . Really working airflow system to prevent your head from overheating.

Weakness:

. Kind of expensive but well worth it.

This is absolutely one of the best helmet out there. The quality is identical to all the $100+ helmets out there, so I won't go into details on this. Now for the looks. Man, these are one sick helmet. Cool looking and the best looking helmet for newschool skiing and freestyle. If you're into racing, then go take a hike. This is one helmet which the air-venting system works.
