Leedom Scream Helmets

Leedom Scream Helmets

DESCRIPTION

Optimum fit is the foundation of Leedom ski and snowboard helmets. Your helmet must fit properly to provide comfort, protection and performance. The helmet should fit snug on your head, without causing discomfort. To test your helmet's fit, wear the helmet and hold either side of the helmet while turning your head from side to side. An optimum helmet fit should turn with your head. If your head moves within the helmet, the helmet is too big. If you cannot find the correct size helmet, after trying the different sizes, utilize Leedom's Fit Kit. When trying on your Leedom helmet be sure that the positioning is correct. The front of the helmet should be directly above your eyebrows. The proper fit and positioning of your Leedom helmet will provide your head with the highest level of added protection and performance.

Strength:

1)It''s quite warm, and the ventilation system works great - Hard run, open it up on the way back up and get some ventilation, getting cold near the summit, crank it back down. 2)The helmet seems to work well with many goggles. 3)It looks great. Mine is translucent yellow, and it''s a bizarre looking piece. 4) I got mine as a preseason leftover for $65, which is what it should cost. 5) Strength - the only one of the bunch with a Snell rating.

Weakness:

1)the goggle retention system is mediocre, I''ve had goggles come off too often when walking around as there''s no positive retention system - only a slit in the back. 2)The helmet really cuts down on my hearing. People have to talk quite a bit louder for me to hear them.

Having used this helmet since the beginning of the season, I won''t be going back to a hat. I tried most of the helmets available, and the Leedom fit me best, but note that this is a purely personal issue - find the one that fits you! I did a face (head) plant at Whistler, when not paying attention for a second, and the helmet took the brunt of it - sure glad I had it.

The Leedom fit me best, which is the criteria that you need to use when you buy a helmet.
