Rossignol Soft 1 - Men's Mens

Rossignol Soft 1 - Men's Mens

DESCRIPTION

Rossignol's new soft boot technology combines rigid plastic materials with a soft flexible structure, for unparalleled comfort and performance.. Traditional hard plastics are used through the spine and the sole area , but the front has been replaced with a soft leather structure. Soft boot cockpit design uses the minimum structure necessary to deliver powerful edging and turning precision. The boot's spine has an elostomer for dynamic energy transfer--the more energy you put into flexing the boot, the more you get back. Closed-cell foam structure along the length of the sole dampens shock and vibrations, making your day more enjoyable and less tiring. With progressive flex, the foot support and boot flex are independent so there is no need to over-tighten the buckles to support the feet. Boot entry and exit are extremely easy--you may not not even need to use your hands!.

Strength:

comfort and warmth

Weakness:

may not be the best boot for more advanced skier looking to go off trail or do any freestyle skiing.

Most comfortable boot I have ever put on my feet. A joy to ski in and then when I want to go in the lodge they are comfortable to walk in as well. The heat molding to my feet really worked and I almost feel as if these boots have been custom made for my feet.

I rented these for the week at Mont Tremblant in Canada. My big issues is a wide foot. They are fantastic and for Soft 1 intermediate skier even better. They are warm and easy to ski in. No pressure points. I wish I could have bought the pair I rented

Strength:

Comfortable, warm, & easy to flex.

Weakness:

Not sure about the long-term water proofing ability on the leather. A little wide.

A great soft boot that requires almost not break-in time, feels great all day, and helps get an intermediate-advanced skier out of the "backseat". I have used these all during the 2003 season and love them! I have found that these boots have really allowed me to improve my skiing since it is much easier to apply pressure to the front of the boot. They work great withthe new carving skis. I have not found the flex to be a hindrance on blue runs or even black runs.

Strength:

Comfort. Just stiff enough. Good Support.

Weakness:

Still hard to get in to like most front entry boots. No Walk Mode. Price ( if you do not buy them at the end of a bad season in Romaina

I hired the RossiSoft 3 in Zermatt when I found that my Lange X8's had died. I have real trouble finding boots that fit as I have a wide foot (EEEE) that is also very thick (high). The RossiSoft 3 fitted me perfectly. I found the RossiSoft 3 to be ok. Would be a great begiiners boot. Since buying the Rossisoft 1 ($260 Aust)I have skied about 10 days in various conditions and they are brilliant. Would reommend them to anyone who they fit. P.S. I ski 181 K2 Axis X Pro with Marker 1200 Pistons.
