DESCRIPTION

These lightweight aluminum and composite ski poles/avalanche probe are ideal for backcountry touring, snowshoeing and winter mountaineering. Adjustable wrist straps attach to quick release clips--straps are designed to detach from the grip in the event a pole becomes lodged in an obstacle. Ovalized upper shafts feature a locking system with no-slip adjustment; oval shape prevents mechanism from spinning. The 2 lower sections unscrew and join together to form probe; friction zone allows quick conversion in any weather. 40" extends to 50", probe length 74"; 44" extends to 54", probe length 82"; 48" extends to 58", probe length 90"; 52" extends to 62", probe length 98". Quick release ferrule allows snowflake baskets to be easily interchanged and removed for probing.
