Arcteryx has tweaked the Delta, and done a good job. Now it is all 200 Polartec "Comfortstretch". They have added a collar drawstring and deleted the nylon logo insert on the back of the collar. Still has the nuts quality. The Comfortstretch has more "loft" than the previous combo of 200/160 Powerstretch. I''ll use the "old" one for work and start using the new version for play.

Customer Service

I''ve had good response from them, though they might be on the slow side.

Nothing more to say that hasn''t been said...It''s light, warm, relatively breathable, with brilliant features. As always with Arc''teryx, it''s simple and efficient ! I love it as I love my Alpha SV jacket and my Patagonia Capilene silkweight T-shirt...five stars.

This is a well designed jacket.
The stretch material on the sides
reduces bulk as well as ease of movement. It is light and made with the same great design and quality
of all their outerwear.

The only problem I had with it is when a piece of shock-cord on the bottom
failed and I had to send it in for repair (after one use)

Customer Service

Customer service was adequate. When I called to send my jacket back for repair, they were a little rude. especially after I called a couple of times to find out what was taking so long for the repair. It turns out that they had lost my jacket! They ended up getting me credit for it at a local mountain shop, which was fine.

I can't say enough good things about this jacket. Its fit and materials are supreme. It is cut very close-fitting and not too long, which is exactly what I wanted. The collar stands up even when unzipped due to a patch of nylon on the back of the neck. I find this a wonderful feature that protects your neck from drafts even when you are unzipped to cool down a bit. The powerstretch material is wonderfully soft and moves with you, not against you. This jacket is an ideal piece for me. Can't give it five stars for value at full price, however, at its retail price

Customer Service

A seam started to come unravelled, and they promptly issued me an authorization for repair. A small inconvenience, but quickly taken care of

GAMMA SV JACKET

Couldn't find a good way to post a review about this jacket, so I try here.

First of all, the Arc'Teryx fleece jackets that I have tried are the most well made products on the market today. Fantastic details And the cut of the garmet is outstanding (I have a TNF Denali jacket, and it is way too bulky) Also, I have to give the a big plus for innovation since this product comes with Malden Powershield strech nylon, which is much more water/snow resistant than the typical Gore-Tex windstopper you'll find on e.g. a MH Tech jacket, but then again, it is not as windproof as the WindStopper material.

Also, the look and feel of this jacket is very different since it doesn't have any fleece on the outside and thereby giving it a more rubbery look and feel. it feels very modern, high tech and somehow urban.

I bouhgt the jacket over the phone so I didn't have a chance to try it and when I did I was a bit surprised about two things:

1) I would expect that such a windproof technical jacket would come with pit zips. I haven't used it enough yet to know if it breaths alright, so my concern might be misplaced. the Arc'Teryx rep I talked to said zips wasn't necessary. We'll see.

2) My preference in these type of jackets is to have a long cut, specially in the back so you can pull it down and wind proof your rear if necessary. The Gamma SV jacket has a relatively short cut for that specific purpose, but that is my personal preference.

Well, the jacket is far from cheap and close to impossible to find, but it seems to be a great product, even if it is expensive. If you get it at some type of discount I think it gives good/great value.

This jacket seems to be the favorite one of all people I talk to at the moment, and perhaps that's why it is so hard to find. Hopefully, it will become a favorite of mine. I'm taking it out for a outdoor spin this weekend.

cheers,

ps

Ever since I bought this jacket, I have been looking for all the opportunities to wear it.

Exceptional features:
>Extremely light and very packable
>very versatile- I hike in the Philippines (tropical weather) and has proven very worthy on warm and cold climates
>Engineered fit - the best fitting garment I have ever used, just like your second skin but not at all constricting. This thing was built for those who move like an octopus. No problem in lifting up your arms and or reaching that far hand hold.
>Materials - Smart: made of 200 Polartec fleece all over except on the side which uses a different blend but highly functional. I am just concerned as to how the 200 fleece will hold with constat contact and abrasion (piling concern)
>Workmanship- Arc'Teryx was right, the fabric will break before the stitching will - tried to pull it just to test their claim

Besides the piling concern, I would prefer if the jacket was more breathable.

Will all that said, it is still find it expensive at $125, but I got mine on sale for $79. In the long run, it will be worth your cash I am looking forward to save up and buy more of their gear!

Customer Service

I have requested some things sent to the Philippines and they did. They are also helpful with queries.

I like the down jacket. It looks to be real warm without all the weight. I just wonder if it comes in my size. I'm no
dainty little lady. I'm a big mama, and need the room to move.
