I purchased a Freeride 47 by Original Skateboards about 5 months ago and I do not think I have set foot outside my door without it since then. It is a dream to ride and keeps me honest and carving in the summer months when I can't snowboard. Customer Service I had to replace my bushings once and the customer service at Original rocks. I talked to the guy who shaped the board and he took time out to make sure I knew how to change my bushings and everything. Similar Products Used: I have tried Carveboard, Carver, Flowboard and none of them come close. For me, my freeride blows them all away. |

My god, this board is amazing. I really don't have any reference to compare it to in terms of other longboards but as a sometime surfer and a crappy snowboarder, this thing is heaven. First off, sure it's about the size of an 8 year old, but don't let that trick you, this thing can take a turn so fast and so easily you'll be left wondering whether you made that turn or not. The unique trucks are freaking incredible. Why waste $300 on a carve board when this can do all the same things? The board dips down pretty far but the trucks are fully adjustable. So far I haven't edged it yet either. Considering my lack of skating experience and this relatively lack of time it took for me to get used to this beauty, I'd highly recommend it to all beginners. Beautiful design, flawless handling. What more could you want out of a longboard? Customer Service Incredible, friendly helpful people working their phones and emails. They're always willing to lend a hand and answer a question Similar Products Used: Used a carveboard b4, but I much prefer the freeboard over it. Rides faster and more responsive to fast turns and less speed wobbles. |

Hi. I surf, but for most of the year I live in Conneticut. There is NO surf at all in Conneticut, so the closest thing to my surfboard is my skateboard. Its great! I can carve as hard as I can in the water, and it feels great. Im looking foward to taking it on a concrete skate park this summer! I believe that there is not another longboard skateboard that is better than original skateboard's. You can tighten up the trucks and cruise for miles, or you can losen them and carve like a maniac. It has really improved my surfing, and I recommend one to every surfer, snowboarder, wakeboarder, skater, or anyone who wants to have fun. Similar Products Used: Sector 9- the really long one The sector 9 is CRAP. You can go strait and thats pretty much it. It has little flex and it SUCKS! go with original!!!!!!!! |

I have been skateboarding for 30 years and have never ridden a board like this. It carves like a dream, and slides with unbelievable control. Customer Service Scott and Original are going to be a big success. They make sure the customer knows what their getting, they try their best to make sure you know how to use it, and they are truly interested in your feedback. You couldn't ask for better products or customer service. Similar Products Used: G&S 44" Fibreflex with exkate trucks and abec flashbacks. (Flashbacks are great too!) |

This board rocks! I'm 36, have never been, a skater, this is my first board. I snowboard, and, while this is not exactly the same as snowboarding, my snowboarding carving technique works perfectly with this board. On the first day, I took the board out to a sloping parking lot, climbed on and right away I was carving turns! The feeling is kind of like boarding through deep powder except the response is quicker. I swear this thing carves a 3' radius not a 6' one. Even though I hadn't adjusted the trucks, and they were a little loose, I had tons of control. The wheels were firm and sticky and I even started to do power slides. It didn't take much of a hill to get rolling, with a little more practice and I'll be bombing this down real hills! Customer Service Scott and the folks at Original Snowboards are great, very helpful. Scott even gave me his rundown of the pros and cons of other carving boards in a fair and balanced manner. These guys are really working to develop the best product at the best price. Similar Products Used: Airwalk snowboard. |

This board is just amazing. you can make turns tighter than youve ever seen before and its very stable going down big hills. My wheels are chunking already though its not the way they were made its just that i spend more time on this board that anything else and i have had for about two weeks now. i will never go back to a regular board again. |

The 47" freeride is the best skateboard I have ever ridden. After one weekend of riding my new board, it made it impossible to ride any of my previous ones. I would try a hard turn and then bail because my old boards were unable to carve the way i was used to. There's no real way to describe the responsiveness of the board. The day that this board has an unsatisfied customer is the day I quit skateboarding. Buy one. Customer Service I would like to commend original skateboard's dedication towards their customers. Although I haven't needed any real assistance, due to the excellent quality of their product, it is clear to me as I browse their website that they are deeply devoted to the satisfaction of the skateboarder. Their willingness to help and apparent trust in the consumer has made me a die hard fan of the work those guys are doing. Similar Products Used: There is no other board like it. It will get you chicks like crazy. |

i'd never set foot on a skateboard until i picked up an original skateboards freeride 47 to use as my primary mode of transportation here in los angeles. (my wife has the car all day, and i just need to zip around over a few sqiare miles). this thing is made to carve! i can't get over how smooth and responsive it is. the supercarver trucks defy physics... for such a long wheel base it looks like it might take a while to turn, but you can turn this thing 90 degrees on a dime! my friends are jealous. Customer Service scott imbrie - who developed the board with his dad, did the graphics, and answers the phone - is fantastic. he's very helpful with advice, and genuinely interested in how his board is working out for me. what a great company! Similar Products Used: i tried my friend's earthboard thruster, and it doesn't even compare to my board. turning it takes forever, and the deck gets wheel bite like crazy. |
