I bought the A frames about three weeks ago. They worked well around souther new york, never fogged or anything. But in stowe vermont in sub zero temps and tons of powder they did not stand a chance. Constantly fogged over and made it a hassle to get down the mountain. So i got so fed up i went and bought a pair of oakley splices which are amazing. I think that the A frames dont have enough ventilation to help defog.

After losing numberous pairs of sunglasses, the wife and I bought a pair of Oakley A frames in January 1999. Mine are still going strong, with three lens changes - the coating fell off of the first within a week (replaced for free)and the second were scratched to hell in a rather rash move and resultant stack, although they saved my face.
The wife has changed hers this year (2010) because the foam has delaminated, the frames are still good. I noticed that the new versions have a small attachment to space the strap out from the frame - probably for helmet fitting.
I do find that the lower vents tend to blow a stream of air right in my eyes, so I added a small strip of cloth tape to reduce the airflow and they remain mist free.
Overall, these googles stay on my head, don't mist up, are comfy and provide crystal clear vision. And I got the new ones for £40 out of the Oakley outlet closing down sale.

I've always worn my A-Frames with a helmet and they have continually steamed up from the inside during periods of snow-heavy snow.

Out of frustruation, and against my better judgement, I was forced to wipe the insides of the goggle in order to be able to get off the mountain safely. as a result, the anti-fog was removed and the lens scratched.

After a great deal of searching, I was able to buy a replacement lens. I had hoped that this would finally solve the fogging problem, but I continue to have the same problem. Many a deep pwder day has been wasted as a result. I'm completely fed-up and will purchase a decent replacement (money is now no object due to the level of my frustration!).

great goggles. my favorite part of the goggles is the tint on the lens. it's dark enough to keep the sun out in the day and you can still see at night. just remember to dry them off or the foam will tear and the anti fog will wear off. overall they're worth the money

These goggles ROCK! Never fog up (unless you are bend over and are wearing a scarf trying to do up your bindings, but once you stand back up they are crystal clear!). They are great quality and comfortable. I have wiped out a few times and gotten them filled with snow, and just shook most of the snow out and wiped em off with the bag they give you, and you have returned clear vision. I strongly recommend these goggles.

Oakley O Frame

Probably the most important thing about any eyewear is that they must FIT WELL. Sounds obvious does'nt it? But just because they are comfortable does not necessarily mean that you will see well with them. I bought the A Frames based on the reviews written here but I DID NOT like wearing them because they are simply too small for my huge nut. FOR ME they had very limited peripheral vision (sides and bottom). The Spy Scoops were a lot better at the sides but sucked at the bottom, and The Smith Triads are perfect for me. I now carry 2 pairs of Triads, 1 with a all round rose lens and 1 with a yellow lens. They rock!! But getting back to the Oakleys, they are a top quality google with excellent lenses. If they fit you well and you can see out all the corners, get 'em! I had a pair with the persimmon lens. An excellent all round lens. Great for bright days and they work very well in low light conditions. Contrast and light gathering abilities are excellent.

Great ventalation (Yes it works just don't let them clog up with snow wipe those puppies down between runs) Best lens on the market, very nice strap and they are stylin, anyone who says poser go say that to Shawn White or Shawn Palmer or maybe Kelly Clark.

Lens do scratch esy take extra care not to lay them face down when sitting in the lodge.

I love these goggle's they happen to be the best out there right now in my opinion. Some people say they fog up allot they do if you wear your goggles on your forehead and not your face. Some people say they fog when going too fast not me and yes I have used them when going extremlly fast mostly in the backcountry and if your gogs fog there your gonna get broken off BIG TIME! Some people say the foam pulls off really easy well don't play with it mine are two seasons old and no foam tearing yet. Finally some people say the lens distort if water gets in them well tighten up that strap and they won't fly off when you wreck. Listen mine are two seasons old and I still have the original lens! Also I own an assortment of others lens like anything you take care of it and they will take care of you. Dry them out before putting them away the hand dryer in the restrooms work great can't do that use you car's heaters on the way home running late for a bus take them in there with you and air dry them. Of course the foam will fall apart if you put them away wet they will also lose their anti-fog abilty well if the are abused. Yes putting them away wet abuses them DUH! The lens do scratch easy but don't lay them down lens first and this won't happen, better yet if your gonna put down some coin on a good set of goggle buy a case for them too. They only coast twenty bucks or so and it will help to protect your investment. If you have any problems with I suggest then buy a chepo set of gogs and then you won't have to worry but you won't get the clarity and performance of a good set PEACE!

Don't fit on helmit, freeze and fog when going fast. LOT OF CASH to spend on goggles. lense scratches easly.

When I first bought these goggles, I was ampt to get out onto the mountain and try them out. They were so overrated and a waist of money because they freeze up when you are going fast. They also will not fit around your helmit because the strap is so small. You must order a new strap you use it. The lenses scratch very easly and you can tear the foam on the top very quickly. IF you want to go spend huge cash on an o.k. pair of goggles, go for it.

Style: Good fit and looks great, so if you want to look cool and a be poser wear this POS Function wise: They SUCK, big time! The vents does NOT block enough wind at high speed. My eyes are constantly tearing after a high speed run. What's more, if you get water on the inside those lens, it will leave a permanent distortion marks.
