Strength:

Absolutely the most comfdurable binding I''ve ever used. Absolutely no sore spots on my ankle after a full day on the north and south-back steeps (I''m always the first on the mountain and always the last off). These were much more responsive and light compared to my old burton customes. I bought these because they were 40% off.

Weakness:

It only took two runs during the first and only day I rode in them to start breaking. The janky plastic ratchets will flatten out instantly if you like your stuff TIGHT. I was pissed that such a good binding would have such crappy straps. The strap along with the ratchet both flattened and chipped! Very weak! I can''t believe they try charging $190 for a hunk of cheap plastic!

This is a good binding until it breaks! I took mine back to the store and exchanged them for the Salomon sp5. These are slightly heavier than the missions, but much more durable and responsive and they only cost me $135! The CFX looked like a better choice, but not as durable as sp5. In all, I would stongly recomend not purchasing these unless you like sending your gear to get fixed at burton, on a regular basis. If anything, get the cfx with metal ratchets.

Strength:

1. Excellent, supportive, somewhat stiff but flexy enough highback. I take out the plug for max flex. Good heelside support on hard carves. 2. Comfy straps with no pressure points. These straps are already curve molded, so break in time may be shorter than 2001s. 3. Good toe ramps for toeside support. 4. Still have the rubber piece in heelcup for gripping your boot.

Weakness:

Could be a bit pricey unless you get them on sale. I''m still undecided whether or not I like this years straps or last years better. Maybe you could rock some 2002 black Custom gel straps on these...nice!

Buy these bindings. Now. No joke. I have last year''s Missions, and I didn''t think they could improve on them, but hey, whadda ya know? Improvements on 2001 Missions: 1. Better ratchets - they have some grippy material on them 2. Lighter in weight than last years model. 3. Colors are dope. Get the Darks! Otherwise, same holds true as in my review of last years model (go read it!)

Strength:

1.Lighter and more responsive than 00-01 2.Colours!- get The General 3.Straps-improved straps which means improved comfort 4.Rachets-improved grip.....had some problems with last year''s rachets

Weakness:

Still plastic baseplate and other than that none

Last year I rode the Missions too but after I sold them to my friend, and picked up a pair of the 01-02 model, all I have to say is that I love these bindings! They look great and work great.I think Burton has made some major refinements to this binding making it WAY better than last year''s model. Its got alot of adjustable parts and its a very responsive and comfy binding.Perfect for riders who like to conquer the pipe or parks but also rule the whole mountain

Strength:

Adjustibility, Strength, the colors are cool. i think these are very LIGHT in weight.

Weakness:

None. maybe they could have gave us an extra strap in the box in case we break one.

My older bindings kinda sucked so these are so much of an upgrade for me. Nothing wrong with these. There are so many ways to adjust these.

Weakness:

way overpriced; should be around $140 jake burton needs to support his pot habit most burton stuff is overpriced. Perhaps people will not buy burton and then price will go down or company will fold. HA!

Good binding, light, does not require hex bolt tightening. so far so good (knock on wood)The Dukes of Hazard graphic is hot; don''t require much in tools.. way overpriced; should be around 140 - but I paid cause I liked the graphic

Strength:

They worked very well, no problems.

Weakness:

For a binding that is so adjustable a more informative instruction manual would be welcome, so that setting up the binding to suit the prevailing conditions would be easier. I have a slight concern with the build quaility, in as much as it looks a bit flimsy, it has not broken yet though. My northwave boots have chewed into the ankle straps, i guess it is just cosmetic damage.

worked very nicely, no slipping of the rachet, so i stayed well contected.

Strength:

Color. Clamping high-back. Redesigned for this year. Light weight. Adjustable toe ramp.

Weakness:

It is hard to find weaknesses in this binding but if I had to find one it would be that they have no metal in them.

These are a pair of the best bindings that I have ever ridden. They come in some sick colors to. The Orange make it look like your ready to take no prisoners in the park. I think that burton had some faults in last years mission that have just made it better this year. They are entirely redesigned. I also like the fact that the high-back clamps to the frame. It gives a lot of support. If you get a nice pair of Burton boots to go with them it makes them even better. Burton bindings and boots fit really well together. Also the binding has an adjustable toe ramp.

Comfortable and light.

Weakness:

The buckles were plastic.

Great binding makes me feel one with the board. The missions are light and responsive. But I didn''t like that everything was plastic. Other then that I recommend these.

Strength:

Easy enough to get in and out of, the rachet system on the straps is one of the best I''ve come across. I like the fact that no tools are needed to adjust the back plate.

Weakness:

The binding are a bt on the small side for me so I really need to shove my boot in there. the straps could also use another inch or so in length.

I only bought this binding cause it was the only burton binding left in the shop. I''m fairly happy with my choice. Its well put together and its holding up fairly well. I''ve had no problem with it so far and I''m boarding two or three times a week.
