I think Matti from Truckee needs to quit ripping on people who give their opinions. Matti, it seems to me that you spent too much time on the slopes and not enough time in school. Your bad grammar and writing skills indicate a lack of education. It sounds as if you have a great career ahead of you as a pro snowboarder (-yeah right). Perhaps I'll pass through a board shop in your area and see you working there, making barely more than minimum wage. I'll be sure to flick a few pennies at your pathetic little ass.

Strength:

There is nothing that comes close to these bindings, match em up with a pair of KJ's and rock out with your cock out!

Weakness:

You, you suck. www.gobacktothebay.com

03 LTD. I have them in ruby red and get f*#ked black. First off I don't care what you paid, you got the best! So pay attention to the details, These bindings are super adjustable, so if you can't get them to fit (a ladies 7 1/2 will fit a medium) then you shouldn't have bought these there not for you, go buy some duct tape and some sorels and stay away from me. I'm sick of rich kids buying top of the line stuff and never getting the full potential out of it. Leave this binding on the shelf for the true riders, that way we can buy them on sale and rip it. Or if you do buy this binding, learn how to use it, if it breaks complain but if you can't get it to fit then thats your problem. I have never found a binding of equel, these bindings are way ahead of there time, and are worth all 300 or less dollars! Drake, my hat off to you!

Strength:

Nice wide straps keep you from overtightening on pressure points, and they are comfortable, responsive, and strong. Had the Drake F50s prior to this.

Weakness:

I wear a 7 1/2 women's in Northwave boots. These bindings only come in a Medium and are a bit too big for a woman's sized boot. Also, the straps are too short to fit around most boots. Can be a bit stiff when first riding with this binding. Highback may need to be adjusted and lowered, otherwise may cause "digging" into the back of your calves.

I'm actually reviewing the 2002-2003 Drake Limited bindings....the ones that come in Ferrari Red. Overall they are good bindings, minus a few things.

Strength:

Overall feeling and responsiveness. The ankle straps work so well with my boots (Northwave KJ). Their great almost everything is great.

Weakness:

Cosmetic (The little Drake letters came off) The screws on the axis plate come loose a lot (not really a problem) just a little extra time to fix.

These bindigs are insane. The best decision I ever made.

Strength:

The straps are big and comfortable. Nice hold around the ankle.

Weakness:

There is a big weakness with these bindings, and thats the axis disks. Only after a few rides they brake apart, and that was very dissapointing. And it seems like every screw is loose! Very dissapointing...

My mtx bindings have the coolest design ever. I fell in love with them at the first eyesight. I just had to have them. But it isn't always good design is the same as good quality! If they manage to do something with the axis disc, it would be the best you can get.

Strength:

Adjustability, straps, straps, straps, ratchets, forward lean on the fly...did I mention straps, Design and looks. Oh yeah, straps. You cant go wrong. ps(I have the 2003 line)

Weakness:

I really would like to think of at least 1 weakness to appear objective but I cannot. Maybe one weakness....Me!

Cannot say enough good things about these bindings; it’s that simple. I have had dreadful experiences with other bindings in the past; they all offered something novel but at the scarifice of some other feature. The Drake Limited are the Goldie Locks of bindings; they offer everything without compromise. Prior to buying the Limited’s, the best bindings I have used were Technine’s; good performance, exceptional ratchets but they were prone to pressure points if tightened too much. The Drake Limited not only provide adjustable response, which in 3 feet of fresh, fresh powder came in handy, but the straps are superior. The MFC straps on the Limited’s provide great rigid support and regardless of how tight you make these puppies pressure point are nonexistent. The ankle straps hold you in so well you barely have to touch the toe straps. Also, if your boots are going to mush (my Malamutes are) the iron hold of the Limited’s straps will make your boots feel new. I cannot stand a micro-meter of heel-lift; these bindings have cemented my feet to the board. As to the ratchets, well I beat step-in bindings on entry; I think that says enough. Yes these bindings are expensive, but overall had I purchased these bindings from the onset I would have saved a lot of money. No you do not get what you paid for with the Drake Limited.......you get more.

Strength:

RATCHETS ARE SMOOTH AND EASY TO USE, I LOVE THE ADJUSTABLE BASEPLATE AND IS PRETTY DURABLE.

Weakness:

MY DRAKE LETTERS ON THE BACK CAME OFF =(, BUT ITS ALL GOOD SINCE ITS ONLY COSMETIC. I DID NOTICE THAT THE ANKLE STRAPS ARE A LITTLE SHORT. I HAVE A 7 1/2 ON MEDIUMS, AND I HADE TO EXTEND THE ANKLE STRAP TO THE LAST HOLES.

i LOVE THESE BINDINGS!!! THEY ARE REALLY WORTH THE CASH IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT BOARDING. VERY RESPONSIVE AND THEY LOOK PRETTY BAD.
