Strength:
incredibly stiff incredibly responsive look cool great outsoles for hiking probably crampon compatible price, if you can find a pair on ebay, pick them up
Weakness:
killer break-in period insoles are uncomfortable no more bragging to skier friends about foot comfort Overall, fabulous boots. I was on a quest for truly stiff boots and these are the shizzle. Like other posters said, the break in time was killer on my feet, but eventually they feel good and the control has been unrivaled, even during break in time. The insoles never felt right and so I swapped them for some custom insoles and now they're great. I'm not much of a freestyler at all, so I can't comment on how they perform in the pipe, but if you are into high g-force carving, tight trees, or anything else where control is # 1, then these boots may be for you. Super stiff, Bone, dry feet. great response
Weakness:
Damn took forever to break em in Great boot if your willing to suck it up during the break in period. First couple days of riding my feet hurt like hell especially my toes, and heels, but after a while they're great, awesome response, great toe side control, super stiff Similar Products Used: Burton Driver Vans Northwave Freedoms Ride Orion |

Strength:
Stiff as hell, super responsive, hold your heel really well, comfortable liner
Weakness:
If you're a pipe boy they might be a little too stiff for you but they're bad ass everywhere else. Wear em on a blue glaze day and see how well they help you hold your toe edge Bad ass. Really comfortable once you get them broken in. Buy a half size smaller than your normal boot and they'll pack out perfectly. Similar Products Used: Salomon Synapse, Burton Ruler, DC |

- The "thermal liner" has done its job by packing out to fit my foot. I live in the land of tiny feet, and had no choice but to buy size 10 and jam my size 11 dogs into them. It hurt like burnt nipple in the shop, and for the first two days on the mountain, but on the third day it became bearable and now it''s just right. Actually I''m glad I wasn''t able to buy a bigger pair, they might have packed out to be too big. - There''s a chunk of plastic or unobtanium our something in the tongue of the boot that doesn''t bend at all. This give a lot of support on toe-side turns, and I won''t be surprised if it also makes the boot very durable. - There are two big protrusions on either side of the Achilles heel to help wipe out heel lift. That they do -- a little painfully at first, but again, they''re nice once you break them in. - Warm, bone-dry feet at the end of the day.
Weakness:
Nothing to cry about. Heel scuffed easier than I''d like, and they make me walk like a skier. The break-in period was agony but suck it up and they''ll do right by you. Nice boots for freeriding. Responsive and comfortable. Maybe too stiff for halfpiping but just right for carving, kickers, powder -- everything but halfpipe. Nice touches on construction. Similar Products Used: Sorel |
