I bought this board as an exteme fan of the Head Snowboard Brand. I had 3 other Head boards and broke all of them within less than a year of buying each one. I have had the intelligence for 2 years. The board is amazing, I consider this board my elite board. At times I feel confident and at home on the board, but I agree with the other reviews if you don't respect the board for even a second you'll end up regreting it. I've had one mishap myself. But all and all the best constructed board I've ever seen. My friends all ride burton and swear by them but the top of the line head boards have some great things to offer.

What a difference a few years makes. I spent several years away from my trusty Elan Dualie 166 (a wide, mid-level, all mountain board) while I taught my son to ski and board. Things progressed to the point that I could upgrade and I wanted to get into the higher end of all mountain/freeride boards. I'm not a big backcountry rider, but like to hit deep powder and stray off the groomed runs quite a bit looking for a challenge. I decided the iCT would be a good choice even if the technology didn't work. In short, you can feel a very real difference in the board.

The board refuses to skip or chatter regardless of where or how you ride it. It takes an edge and holds it like a rail no matter how much. I am a big dude - 6'1" and 230 lbs, and the board never feels weak or floppy. I only notice vibration - and for brief intervals at that - across spring skiing grooming marks. The board is very fast and quick from edge to edge.

It can be a little tricky. There seems to be a point where deep flex, applied at a moderate rate of speed, can make the board stiffen up abruptly. This causes it to dive instead of float. I have gone over the nose of the board a few times from this phenomenon but feel like it is a small price to pay.

The board is light and reflects quality in its construction and materials. I really like the binding mounts that allow an infinte range of setbacks and space.

I used Head's website to pick the size and was not disappointed with the results. As a mid-wide, I didn't expect to get the same float as my winnebago-esque Elan, but there doesn't seem to be a condition where this board doesn't rock.

It's light, it's very fast, it rides like it's on rails, and is smoother than silk. I did well enough on it to say that the value quotient is definitely there at the sub-$400 price mark.

I would recommend test-riding one if you have the chance because there isn't a good way to describe the difference until you have been on one. It has made me a better and more confident rider.

Haven't had to go there, but Ski Universe was great.

This is great all mountain board. It is for advanced riders. If you keep the edges sharp than it carves like no other board out there. As you push into a hard carve you can feel the board stiffen and start to accelerate out of the turn. But it is like riding a bronco...as soon as you don't respect it will throw you. This board demands you actively ride it as opposed to passively ride it. When I set my edge I have complete confidence that I will not slip out of the turn. A little expensive but worth it. Great construction...I've been teaching snowboarding a full season and a half with this board. An awesome machine.
