Strength:
Super responsive, Great snap, great for big air!
Weakness:
difficult learning curve and difficult to master the rideability of this board. It took me a while to get used to this board because i went from an old cruiser board (Sims Fakie) to this ultra responsive and light stick. I love this board and will never stray from the Burton line of boards in my life. Super fast and ultra responsive, the snap is hard to master, but once you do you'll be flying through the runs and soaring off kickers till the sun goes down. Strength:
good edge control, good flex, durable (3 seasons and still riding it from hell and back), still light compared to the new boards out there, and ***fun in and out of the pipe or terrain park.
Weakness:
None...except when they mean not for newbies, they mean not for newbies. I would wait until you have a full season under your belt before stepping up to this board. It is an amazing board. I got it on clearance back in 2000 when they came out with the new graphic. Saved around $300 which is great considering the only difference was the damn graphic. Definitely not for newbies, but is great for riders with big feet, like myself, avoiding toe drag. I got this board 3 seasons ago and going to hate looking for a new board when I ride this one out. It holds an edge, has decent flex/pop, and great in the park. If your feet our 11+, I definitely recommend this board! I use Burton Mission bindings that I purchased last season ('02-'03) making this board relatively light. Strength:
Great construction, bottom is fast, edges are superb. Good width for my 11 feet.
Weakness:
Kind of pricey, but it's Burton good. This is a great board. I have the Rush model with the city skyline, which I think is preferable to the cartoon version. Very light compared to my Lib Tech Pacifier, and paired with Burton Mission '02 bindings it is a light and fast package. Great edge hold, intuitive and predictable. I ride a 161 at 6' and 175lb. Perfect set up. |

-speed -edge hold
Weakness:
-pricey -graphics are a little cheesy i love this board. it kicks ass. at first, i was unsure, but was extremely surprised at how well it performed going down the mountain. i was most impressed with the edge hold, although it definitely makes you work hard for the turns, unlike other boards i have used. awesome edge hold especially on ice. cool graphics, like em or hate em, i like em. definate fun factor with this one. board likes to be in the air and has plenty of stiffness in the tail to land it softly.
Weakness:
none really, not a beginner board, but definately helps intermediate riders to the next level. darn, this board is lively!does really well on hard pack or ice. floated very well in powder, surprised me how well it works for all mountain riding, even though it is a freestyle board. Not a beginner board though, definately keeps you awake. Similar Products Used: burton custom, canyon. kemper something or other, gnu choice, heelside something |
