Ortovox made the Women's Competition Short Pant out of soft, breathable, and warm merino wool, which was a smart move. Then it got even smarter, and added mesh in heat-accumulating areas and heavier 240g merino in areas that are more exposed to wind and cold, like the fronts of your thighs. The result is a baselayer pant that is supremely well-suited for high-octane outdoor activities in the coldest winter weather. The pant's capri length means it won't bunch under your ski socks or boot cuffs, either.
