, from Boston, MA Summary: These are great mountaineering crampons. You have to compare with others to appreciate how they feel like part of your feet. the points on these crampons have the right angle and the right length for walking flat-footed. I can ware them all day on ice, snow and rock and don't feel my movement getting awkward. I lead NEI 4 water ice in them, although they are not optimized for it. I can fit my BrooksRangers (OR) overboots in them without problem. These are very refine general mountaineering crampons. I have had them for several years and would buy them again. The anti-balling plates works very well. Balling on snow is a problem with all crampons. watch out.

Mountaineer
, from Germantown, TN Summary: A nice crampon. If you have larger feet I suggest that you get the crampon extender bars. Works well on glacier travel and relatively steep snow. Do not even think about verticl ice. Do not plan on fitting these over insulated overboots because it will not work. The straps are not long enough and I do not know if the crampons are long enough even with the extender bars. Make sure you purchase the anit snow plates or you will be self-arresting quite a bit. Charlet Moser should just include the anit snow plates with the crampons, but then again, they wouldn't be making as much money. Other than that, I enjoy my crampons. They get the job done.
