Just got this pack. Very excited about getting out more and more. Feels great right away. Only minor adjustments to make. This pack will easily carry the weight and gear you ask it to.

Couldn't be happier with this pack. The first pack that feels like it was meant to be on my back and not in the trunk. Carries a load with great balance and comfort. No problems with seams, straps or otherwise. Removeable lid always travels with me exploring away from camp. With some care in packing, easily keeps me going for a week to 10 days.

I have bought the Palisade 6 months ago and have used it a lot in winter as well as in summer. First of all, i must say that the fit of this pack is perfect, it fits my back like a glove. Last winter i loaded my Palisade with lots of heavy winter gear, foods for 2 weeks and telemetric equipment. The total weight of my pack 107 lbs. It remains very comfortable for the entire outing and never show any weaknesses. Thanks to the knowledge of the guys at Gregory.

Fabulous pack. It holds a great deal. I've had it on weeklong trips in summer and four nights in winter. I've yet to fill'er up. Holds a bear canister with ease. The removable top pouch makes a great pillow. The many straps can get in the way, but they make for a tight load and come in handy for hanging things. I really like the load adjusters which pull pack forward for uphill.

I like the balance this pack allows me when loaded up with gear. I'm able to load it up to 70-80 lbs. and still feel confident that it won't pull me over backwards. Well built and very sturdy.

Excellent low frills pack. Capable of handling weekend trips to week long trips. High quality construction to take the blows from high impact usage.

This pack is a good pack, but if you're a woman, I recommend getting the women's version of the shoulder harness. I measured for a small frame, and I have a small pack with a men's small harness. The shoulders were very hard to adjust to get them to work on my body. I love the compression straps, because you can get the load close to your body and really work with where your center is. It's also easy to adjust this pack if your body is a little asymmetrical in some areas. Overall I love this pack, and I think it's a great design, but since the pack frame itself doesn't come designed specifically for women, get them to change out the harness, and play with the adjust-a-cant on the hipbelt.

Customer Service

I wrote them an email about a week ago with a question about the harness problem I was having, and have not heard anything back from them.

I've had my Palisade about a year now and have not complained about anything with this pack .It fits just right carrys the load on the hips with out strain .I use it on weekend hikes and go without the top lid to save weight , gear loops and straps to carry poles and sleeping pads ect ect. I love this pack and recommend it to any one.

Customer Service

Havent had any problems but I would'nt hesitate to call there cust. serv. for the slightest thing you may want to ask after reading the other reviews of Gregory Packs .They got 30 years of experience!

The Gregory Palisade has held up well under many conditions. It's comfortable to wear, and handles a heavy load well. One thing I would like to see is a seperator for a lower compartment. Otherwise, a good, sturdy bag.
