After shopping around, decided this pack offered the most for the least. It's large enough for multiple day excursions, and has an awesome fit and suspension system for a relatively economical pack -- bought mine from Moosejaw Online for $216. The water bottle holsters and sleeping pad straps are two of the nicest and most practical features I've seen on any pack. Buy it. Similar Products Used: None |

GREAT pack! It is heavy by itself, but the suspension system makes 50# seem like nothing. No back, neck, shoulder, or hip pain. The only pain I feel is from my legs after I stuff extra stuff in it cause it is so comfortable. Customer Service Haven't needed it. Similar Products Used: Lowa - cannot compare to Gregory. |

This pack just survived a climb of Mt. Baker with flying colors. It is the most comfortable pack I've owned. Gregory packs are designed to fit tall, skinnier people best, which I just happen to be. It is a great pack with all the essentials, great for mountaineers on extended trips. Fit all my gear in comfortably. Side compression straps, also good for carrying tent/pickets/whatever. I am extremely thrilled with this pack. Similar Products Used: None |

Excellent pack. Like everyone has said it handles weight with ease thanks to the compression. Gregory packs are awesome, it is hard to go wrong with this pack especially. I like it's ruggedness, it is made of tough material and is sewn together well. With its load carrying capability you may find yourself wishing the pack had a larger capacity because it never quite seems to feel "heavy". Excellent job by Gregory. Great pack, handled 10 weeks in Central America with no problems. After about 5 miles of breaking in, it fit extremely comfortably, even with weights up to 60-70 pounds. Tough as nails too. With rain cover, endured rainforest downpours and kept gear perfectly dry. At 6-2, 180 the large fits quite well. I would definitely recommend the shasta to anyone, cant say enough about the quality, I love this pack. Customer Service One seam was beginning to come loose on the detachable day pack, sent it to Gregory, on them, to get repaired, friendly service. Similar Products Used: None |

What can i say - this is a great pack well worth the money. Though it is a bit heavy it doesnt matter because the awesome suspension makes the pack fit sooooo comfortably. U dont even feal the weight. I loaded this thing up with 50 pounds and it felt way better than my EMS pack when it had 20 pounds in it. I also have the rain cover it works very well at keeping water out. Customer Service Gregory stands behind their stuff! Similar Products Used: EMS 4500 - this packs suspension was horrible |

This is one hell of a pack!! I have loaded that sucker up to the gills and the ride is nice and smooth. I have not had any problems with back pain or hip pain. I have been extremely happy with this pack and I would buy another without thinking twice, esepcially at the price I paid. This is by far my best piece of gear. Well this has turned out to be one sweet mama!!! On my first trip out I got a little pain in my upper back, it felt as if something was pushing right below my shoulder blades. I believe it was the pack stays, but they now seem to have conformed to the shape of my back.....no more pain. I've heard this pack can handle loads of 60lbs, I have kept it around 45lbs but I believe it, this pack is so comfortable and this is not an exxageration, I sometimes don't bother to take it off during rest stops. It seems to just hug your body with out the hint of a sore spot. If your looking for a simple get the job done comfy pack look no further, this is the one. Customer Service Haven't needed it, don't suppose I will. Similar Products Used: Crappy bright orange external frame!!! |

nice pack, super clean design with A1 load handling. my gf carries this pack because it had womens models to fit her petite frame. Most other packs were bulky and fit her wrong. Similar Products Used: None |

Awesome pack that rides great. It is a great no frills pack that will get you through anything and everything. It will not fail, no matter what you throw at it. I can't say enough about the quality Gregory puts into their packs. Sure, they cost a little more, but they are well worth it. Similar Products Used: None |
