Not the best pack I've ever used, but it is worth the money. Like anything, you get what you pay for. I used it for two seasons on the weekends working in Yosemite, and it held up just fine. However, the usable space in the pack is lacking, as well as some features of the more expensive packs -- zip out separators, inside pockets, hydration system. Although, I do like the water bottle holders on the outside of the pack. You don't need to unload to get a drink.

This is a good pack and for your money its a great choice. It takes a bit of fine tuning to get it to fit right and it can be tricky to balance correctly but once you get used to it its great. The lockdown load carrying system is easy enough to adjust and the load hauler is extremely effective and makes carrying heavy loads alot easier. At times I've had to carry 60- 70 lbs. loads and the pack performed extremely well without killing me I took this pack to Europe for three months and it did well. If given the choice I would buy it again. It is really tough to beat this quality for your money. In short, it makes a great first pack or if your on a tight budget this is a great choice even for an experienced packer.
