I have used my -5 Down Time DL(Dry Loft) on many summit attempts in the Cascades and many snowcamping trips and have found it to be a great bag. I rarely use a tent, preferring to bivy and have stayed toasty warm. While caught in a winter storm on Mt Baker, temperatures got well below 0 with windchill and the bag performed perfectly. My only concern is that I find at least one feather in my bivy after each trip.

Customer Service

REI is great with all their merchandise.

The Down Timer is almost too warm for me and the area that I live in. Maybe it will come more in need if I start to do some early spring back country packing.

Customer Service

REI is a friendly place to do business with.

I have the 0 degree version and its awesome. Good price and good quality. I live in it for 6 weeks for each of the past three years and aside from needing a good cleaning its in great shape.

I have been using the REI down time bag for about a year now. I use the bag for the purpose that it was intended for: +15 degree weather. This is my first down bag, and I really appreciate the light weight and small pack volume. I have never had to test the performance of the bag when wet, and hope that I never have to!

Customer Service

The customer service at REI is outstanding. They will make good on any waranty or guarantee that they state.

A good solid down bag at a reasonable price. REI makes good products. No complaints and have backpacked with in on a few separate trips. No complaints, and I got it in my favorite color too! Like all down bags, it must be kept from the rain or wetness or sleeping won't be any fun. . .

I've used the 0 degree bag on 2 three-five day winter trips. Generally, i liked it. However, my feet got rather cold -- even though I know the temp didn't get below the teens. But for the price...well worth it.

I've used the -20 version of REI's down time. It kept me warm winter camping down to about 0 degrees, but not much colder. The temperature rating is exaggerated. Other than that, the bag is comfortable and easy to manage, but I would look to another brand for cold winter camping.

Customer Service

I've always had good luck with customer service. REI's reps are always friendly and helpful.

i have two of these bags (different ratings) and love them. Great value; and packs down nicely. Underrated, IMHO.

Customer Service

EXCELLENT! REI has THE BEST customer service, hands down.
