I like this bag a lot, especially considering the price. I have done a lot of backpacking with this bag and it is still going strong. I thought that the bag held up great even to temps as low as 5 degrees. This bag is definitely worth getting. Similar Products Used: LL Bean Goose Down Ripstop, and The North Face Superlight |

I don't do a lot of backpacking so I didn't want to invest in an expensive bag. I got the Survivor for under $100 and have been very pleased. I have loaned it out many times to and everyone loves it. I would have to say it should be rated at 25o and not 20 though. All in all it is a great bag Similar Products Used: None |

This bag is a great deal for the price and comfortable to around 20 degrees...until extensive use. I've had the bag for four years now and its definitely a summer/latespring/early fall bag at this point. Great for anyone starting out like I was...but if you're ready for the investment, I'd recommend putting the $100 toward a better bag. Customer Service Never called them. I paid $75 for this bag almost 2 years ago and it has been flawless. Warm, fast drying and takes some abuse. Qualofil is good stuff. I should have bought 2 bags at the time. Customer Service By this bag if you can find it. It is a steal and slumberjack is easy to work with Similar Products Used: TNF Blue Kazoo |

Purchased this bag for sub-$100 almost 3 years ago and have never had a problem. It's seen every corner of the States and I've never been cold, if there's snow outside, it might get chilly (I use a homemade liner along with a TR), but for the price you can't beat it. If you don't zip the bag fully, and close the velcro tab it will unzip itself. Seriously, from sleeping under the stars in AZ, to hiding my ass from the cold in ME...excellent bag. IF YOU WANT TO CAMP IN BELOW FREEZING TEMPS DONT BUY THIS BAG. THE RATING IS TO 20 DEGREES BUT IT GETS COLD ABOVE FREEZING. ALTHOUGH I AM A COLD SLEEPER, I SHOULD'NT HAVE TO WEAR A FLEECE TOP AND BOTTOM TO UISE THIS BAG WHEN THE OUTSIDE AIR TEMP. IS ONLY 32 DEGREES. Well, I guess it's a good back considering. I could have sworn that whomever sold it to me told me it was a 0 degree bag and there is no way to tell on the tags that are attached. It came as quite a shock when I found out it was a 20 degree bag. However, what you don't know can't hurt you until you go into cold weather. This bad has kept me too hot during the fall and spring months. I would have liked one with more room in it also. I sleep on my stomach so mummy bags aren't too comfortable, but they sure are great when you go to close them up completely. I usually turn my bag over and put my pillow on the hole to completely close it up. Decent bag, but I wouldn't have bought it if I would have known it was just 20 degrees. Great bag. Super price. This bag is light and compresses well. It is very warm as long as you use a thermarest. I've had it below freezing and been toasty (as long as I wear socks, my feet get cold even in my zero down bag without them). I like the durability and wet weather performance of synthetics over down, now that I've used both. I like the dual draw hood, it seems to be warmer because I don't steam up the inside with my breath. I've recommended this bag to friends who don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Similar Products Used: I used a Hillary down bag for about 15 years. It was light and super warm. It finally just broke down. I didn't want to spend hundreds on a new down bag, so I opted for the Slumberjack. No regrets. |
