I bought this bag earlier this fall but I did not use it until a few days ago in RMNP. Being braver than I normally am, I trusted this thing to keep me warm in temps around +10 Fahrenheit. With a full length Ridgerest pad, I stayed comfortably warm. I was also in a big tent all alone so I did not have the benefit of other warm bodies. I don't have any experience to speak of the bag's other qualities (warm weather comfort, durability, etc.) but this bag is really easy to find on sale somewhere and should be capable of serving all of my needs. Can't bring myself to give it 5 stars as I don't have experience with other bags with which to compare this one. |

WOW!!! What a bag. I got it a year ago from REI for $50 and ive been compleatly impressed! I've used in temps as low as 20 (with good underwear) and its worked great. Also used in the summer and i didnt fry. Used tons of times and still stands up great. All around its a great bag and a great buy. A good value price wise too, i think they normally retail for $150. I have used this bag for 6+ years and it has kept me warm and dry, it is starting to get a little worn, so I use it mostly for warmer weather now but still excellent quality and durability.I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a new bag Customer Service No problems so far Similar Products Used: None |

I bought a Cat's meow as my first piece of outdoor gear in 1989. I beat it to hell for 10 years, taking it all around the country and world. Backpacking/climbing/travelling/homeless couch surfing, this bag did it all and held up. Last month I took it to the retail store and told them that it no longer kept me warm (gee, I wonder why). They sent it to the manufacturer, gave me a call today, and I walked over to pick up my new Cats Meow 3d for no charge. Good solid bag, a little heavy, but not bad. Great customer service, I'll get a new one in 2009. Similar Products Used: None |

I have the ""bigfoot"" version of the bag, and my wife has the smaller women's version. We are both very pleased with the bags' ability to keep us warm when cold out and wick away sweat when it's warmer. The soft lining is really nice, it doesn't stick to your body. Similar Products Used: None |

This bag is the best sythetic bag ever. It's warm and breaths good. You also do not have to worry so much about it getting a bit wet like with a down bag. This bag is good for packing and or car camping. Early spring, fall and even Yosemite in November (still toasty warm). Customer Service I bought it at the North face outlet, saved about 25 percent and they still offer a warrenty. Similar Products Used: None |

Bag is light and warm, with good workmanship. I have the long version (I'm 6'2""), and there's plenty of room. Similar Products Used: None |

I've had one of these (non-3D) for two years, and it's kept me toasty through Colorado mountain nights and rainy spring nights. It's not a winter bag, but with a good pad under you and long underwear, it'll work down to 10 below at least. My feet and hands get cold easily, and this bag keeps me comfy all over. Others who sleep warmer wil be able to use it in lower temps. It packs well for a non-down bag, and i like that it still works in damp weather. ibought it on closeout, too, so that made it even better. My Cats Meow is about 5 years old so it is not the 3D version. It is a great bag and gets a lot of use. It may not pack as well as a down bag, but it's warm if it gets wet. It certainly does not look its age. My wife and son have the same bag and have had similar results. Similar Products Used: None |

I think this is probably the best synthetic bag I have ever owned. Although it doesn't pack as small as a down bag would, the benefits of still being warm when damp offset the added size. Reasonable weight, the only thing I can say is that it's just too warm for summer camping. Customer Service The North Face has what I believe to be one of the best warranty departments of any Canadian manufacturer. They back their products 110%. Similar Products Used: None |
