I have the long Polargard3D version. I am 6'0" and 200 lbs, and I am ALWAYS cold. The bag has kept me warm on some 25-30 degree nights, but that's about the limit for me -- but I'm a cold sleeper. It is roomy enough to keep me comfortable. Construction is very good, nice features, and it packs up really small. Zippers are pretty snag free, and lining is cazy. Customer Service Haven't needed to call them. Similar Products Used: Kelty ClearCreek, decent bag, super simple, very inexpensive. |

Use this bag for backpacking and for search and rescue operations. The bag got its best test for comfort, warmth and durability on a recent rescue in mid January in the mountains outside of Kingman. We spent the night with an injured hiker totaly exsposed, except for sleeping bags, no place to pitch tents on the steep slope, in windy and cold conditions, temps in the 20's. My sleeping pad was given to the Pt for her comfort. The bag kept me very warm without any discomfort, the bag was lying directly on the rocky ground and the bag held up without any tears. I would not use this bag for summer hiking in the southwest, but thats not what it's designed for. I just use a polertec 200 sleeping sack for summer use. Customer Service Only know about its reputation. Similar Products Used: Peak 1 grey fox |

I've had this sleeping bag for several years now, and have used it for 4 season camping down to 15-20 degrees farenheit. It's kept me warm and comfortable throughout all of my trips. I've even used in in a snow dome near Mt. Shasta with no problems. I tend to sleep warm, so this sleeping bag is quite adequate for all my needs. I've got an older version of the bag, and the zipper tends to get caught in the fabric. It could also be because it's a left-handed sleeping bag, and I'm right handed. I bought it at a TNF warehouse sale for around $100, so I just deal with it. It can get tight around the shoulders if I wear more than long underwear to bed, but otherwise it fits fine. Spent 2 nights at 13,000 ft at 0 degrees in my North Face Lunar Fire 3-season tent, slept in my North Face Cat's Meow sleeping bag on top of full length ridgrest and thermorest then snowboarded down the mountain wearing my North Face Mountain Light jacket. Stayed dry and warm the entire trip. I'm 6'2 and weigh 230 so the bag is a little snug but only wimps bitch about things like that. If you accidently get caught in a storm with drastically dropping temps, you may end up feeling a bit cold but this bag will keep you alive. Customer Service Yet to have any problems over the last 10 years using North Face Equipment. Similar Products Used: Marmot 0 degree bag. An awesome bag which I have to admit is a better bag but at $450 was well over twice the price. Take this bag on your next trip to Mt. Everest...as for everyday use, go with the North Face. |

I love this sleeping bag. It is very comfortable and versitile. It keeps me cool in GA during the summer by wiking away sweat but also keeps me warm in Ky during the fall. Similar Products Used: None |

I have had this bag since 6th grad (am now in 12th) and it has served me well. It is extremly warm, and virsitile. With a liner, it can be a four-season bag in most places. Here in maine, I have slept outside in this bag in each of the seasons (in the winter, I had to wear a jacket, though....) and I have found no problems with it. I'm a skinny guy so I find that I am swimming in it sometimes (imagine what it was like in 6th grade!) as I turn in my sleep. But that is my own fault for not being burly, not the sleeping bag's. Customer Service The customer service at TNF seems to be ok for me. I went to a Retail Outlet in Freeport, ME to return a jacket that had ripped. They did not have the model that I owned, but because I bought the jacket under warranty, they allowed me to select a similar jacket and pay the difference of the retail value of my jacket and the new one, which was only $30; I paid less for this second jacket because it was at a retail outlet, and the warrantee wasn't carried there due to the reduced price. I found them to be very helpful even though I lied to them and said I bought my original jacket there while in reality I had bought in through campmor for only $60. My Girlfriend and I both have Cat's Meow's and are very happy with Weight, price, and packability Mine is 1 year older and has seen a bit more action, and was stored improperly for about 3 months. (compression sack) and you can see the difference in the loft versus hers which has always been hung for storage. Other than that though, We're both happy and the bags zip together well :) Similar Products Used: Down bags, and friends MEC bag.(forget which model) |

This is a great bag for all around use. It is light and keeps you warm when wet. The Polarguard 3D is a good synthetic insulation which has kept it's loft very well through lots of use. I would recommend this bag to anyone for general three-season use. Similar Products Used: None |

I bought this bag at the North Face outlet at a closeout price and could not be any happier. I am 5'2"" and the women's bag fits perfect on me. I have used this bag on multiple day trips into the Sothern Sierras and it has suited me very well so far. Packs very well. Similar Products Used: None |
