I really liked the design of this bag with the bathtub enclosure. The hood was one of the warmest I've encountered but it is not very comfortable if you sleep on your side. The temp rating seemed about right but the baffle channels could have used a bit more to counter the effects of moisture and knees and elbows poking out. I too encountered the snagging zipper but have experienced this on every bag I have owned although the NF bags use a particularly supple liner (very comfortable)that tends to snag a bit more. I had two bags that both had baffles in the top of the bag that were completely missed when they stiched them to the outer shell. I eventually got another bag by a different manufacturer because of the time problem with a trip I was going on. Customer Service As always, NF has been great about taking care of problems. I was just a little annoyed that the problems should have been caught before being sent to the retailer. Similar Products Used: None |

This is a great bag, warm comfortable and stuffs tightly in the compresion bag. My only complaint is in the shoulders-- a little to tight, the advertised circumfrence is optimistic. Customer Service Top Notch |

This is a very cozy bag. even when mother nature plays hardball, this bag does it's job very well. The shell does an excellent job of repelling water, but does trap a lot of air, this combined with the overwhelming amount of loft makes ""stuffing"" the bag a chore. It is a very tight fit in the sleeping bag compartment of my backpack. I got a really good deal on this bag, so for the features & quality/price ratio no other bag could compare to this one at the time of my purchase. Overall, this is an excellent bag for 4 season camping and Mountaineering. Similar Products Used: Kelty, REI |

I picked up this bag, and a non-dryloft version of it, at a North Face warehose sale last year. I don't think I would have purchased these bags at full price, but was able to get them for ~45% off. In my books - that's incredible value. However, I won't rate it a 5 in that category, cuz it'd be hard to find that kind of deal again. I managed to get one with a right zip, and the other with a left. When my significant other and I camp together, they zip together very well (pull slow, so snags don't surprise you). With the hoods cinched up, these bags are monster cozy. I've never owned a bag with such unbelievable loft: When I first got them and brought 'em home, I let one inflate kinda twisted on my bed while I went to class. My roommate went into my room and talked to ""me"" lying in the sleeping bag for a couple of minutes before realizing that I wan't even around! Similar Products Used: None |

My bag has a pertex shell and not the dryloft. This results in a 5degree difference in the rating. I used the bag for 7 nights last winter and I was very impressed with it. I used it to 5 degrees below its advertised rating and I did not have the VBL in. One nice feature is that it has ties for a VBL in the bottom of the bag and TNF sells a VBL which can attach to these ties. Similar Products Used: LL Bean 750 down Summit |

The bags materials and construction were of good quality, but rather heavy for a mountaineering sac--over 5lbs REAL weight for a long. Hood was ill-fitting when sinched tight. Warmth rating was accurate Customer Service Customer service is excellent when problems occur. Similar Products Used: Integral Designs ID2, Western Mountaineering Puma, Marmot Col |
