My first real tent. A bit crowded for more that 2. good ventilation and weather protection. Tried winter a couple years and found too much airflow. Could use a second door to stop the climbing over poor soul who has to sleep at the door. Fabulous tent for mild weather. Nice large door, opens up the whole side. Tent is mainly used for solo hikes or hikes without the mutts. A little hard to set up at night without reflective marks and the color coded poles.

The North Face Cirrus is a great tent. The Ventilation is the best out of every other tent I have used. It might be a little too cold in the winter. As long as the outer fly is not touching the tent, the tent should stay dry. I like the versatility of the tent, whether you want the vestibule open, half-open, or fully closed when it is raining. This is a great all-around 1-2 person tent

Great tent for unreliable Oregon weather. It stays cool in the heat, warm in on the cold nights (around 30 f outside) and DRY. Handles wind and windswept rain well. Definitely stake out all of the guy lines to keep the fly off the tent and you can be dry as a bone without condensation for days. We use it for both car camping and backpacking. Nice sized for my wife and I and not too heavy. Good sized, useful vestibule.

Nice tent. My partner is 100 lb German Shepherd. We have lgged over 50 nights in mountains of Colorado and in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. The tent has withstood high winds in the mountains, thunderstorms, and days of rain at a time. I remained dry. The tent shines when cool and dry. Adequate ventilation. Zipper no longer works well on mesh door, probably result of my partner wanting to get out of tent in am.Will see if TNF will repair. +

Very nice tent. definitely holds up in the rough weather. size is very spacious for one person. comfy for someone of close relationship. and ok for a night or two with another traveler of lesser relation. only have good things to say about it beside the condensation that does build up on some evenings with the fly on.

the north face slickrock is a very good tent for someone that is looking for a ultralight, fast-pitching tent. though due to this tents limited coverage rain-fly its not nearly as stormproof as the Cirrus

I owned this tent for nearly 2 years. Recently, I 've sold it cos want to change a more comfortable shether. I used this blue dome castle for more than 30 times. The only bad is the serious condensation under warm humid climate even though I sleep alone. Probably because of no vent fly, I got water dripping on to the mesh canopy in these inconvenice camping days. But once the condition is dry and windy, the tent inside is airy and corfortable in temperature around 10 - 15C. It is solid and rigid even u do not fix guylines under 50 gust of breeze. Those who want condensation to be reduced minimum should consider the latter model Kestrel 3 season dual doors TNF tent.

Have used the cirrus on numerous trips into my home state adirondacs and have only good things to say about the tent. Easy setup enough room to be comfortable and weathertight when needed. having lived through thundershowers with heavy downpours dry and happy being in the woods this tent is worth the investment though i don't think it is still being manufactured.

Customer Service

have many tnf products but have never had to use their customer service, so i'd say they're untested.

I Have nothing but praise for this tent on all but two areas. 1. price, when i bought this tent it was 265 and now i see that it has gone down considerably, so you future consumers need not worry. 2. the zipper on the fly tends to get stuck a lot unless you are tediously careful. The reaon i bought this tent was because i wanted something that could stand up to the worst of the elements, something rock solid. This tent has did exactly that! I ve spent some stormy nights camped out on exposed points just to put this thing to the test. Mine is the 2-person model which is kinda cramped when you squeeze two in for a night but it has a very spacious vestibule which had plenty of room to cook in. I also keep my pack and boots inside the vestibule when its supposed to rain. This tent has plenty of pockets to keep your gear in too. the only other thing that comes to mind is the first time i took this tent on a rainy trip it leaked in a couple of places where the pole sleeves come in contact with the fly. I took some quality sealer(nikwax(goodstuff)) to it and the problem no longer exists.

A great tent for quick jumps from site to site. Relatively light in weight and adequate in square footage. Easy to erect and very stable in a stiff wind. Its profile is quite low and I have been able to get into some pretty tight ledges and flat areas.

I've used this tent all over the country (east in the blue ridge mtns, west in colorado (on the arkansas, colorado, and gunnison rivers) utah (on the green river) and on the rio grande river in texas. it's been a good tent. easy to set up and take down, easy to move around, big enough for two people as long as its not been raining for 3 days. what more could you want?

Customer Service

customer service seems good, I sent back a broken pole with no problems.
