Strength:
It's very controllable. They initiate turns easily from the tip and can change from GS to slalom turns quickly. They hold an edge well and carve turns if you angulate and find the wide center of the ski. Aliso Viejo Pro Concrete & Masonry Weakness:
Couldn't find anything wrong. Purchased: New

Awesome skis!!! I went broke for a good reason!! These babies are light in weight, compared to what im used to skiing. They kill the crud, along with the heavy wet snow that falls all too often. Being 6' 2" and 200 pounds, i was kinda sketch on buying the 184cm, but they are perfect. Im more of a powerful skier than finesse and thats what they need to make tight turns. Im very pleased, and just for the record, i stomped my first 10 backflips on these skis!! |

These skiis are great. I tried them out at the local demo center and fell in love with them. After trying a few other skiis (Xcream 8's and a few Atomics) I knew I found an excellent all around ski. They fly beautifly down the groomers and float real well through the powder. Put your weight forward and pull up the tails through the bumps and they're sweet. Just like Rossignol advertises, its a 50/50 ski. The ski is real stiff (typical of Rossi and ths way I like them) and have a slightly larger tail than most freeriders tend to have which makes them act almost like twintips (like others say they are, but I dont agree). Check em out, I love 'em. |

I just tried these things after being extremely frustrated with an old pair of K2's. I LOVE these skis!!!! They went through everything, and are light enough to take bumps well. They seemed to hold like rails over moguls. I wonder if I'm pyscho though, because the other guy said he was 200 lbs and tried the 184s....I'm a 110 lb. girl, and that was the length I tried. I loved it though! |

I demoed the XX last year in above the knee powder. Great ski, in the deep and also on groomed. This year, I bought a pair of 177 pre-season. I weigh 183 lbs and am an advanced/expert skier who prefers off piste, albeit it is somewhat heavy in the Pacific NW. I replaced the 177 with 184. They are much more stable, and they handle far better in deep or crud. Lock your boots, and they're fine in bumps. The turned-up tail drops a few cm's, and slightly longer skis handle much better. Though I am not maniacally aggressive, I tended to overpower the shorter ski. If you want to go very short, buy big fats, and stay exactly on top of the ski. In summary, the XX is a great all mountain ski, but don't buy it too short if you are at all aggressive. |

I tested Bandits XX on Gore mountain with a varied snow cover. Starting with a hard packet cover with large icy paches, then soft, and going into crud and slush towards the end of the day ( April weekend)- depending whether off main pist in the shadows or on the sun-exposed slops. It took everything with ease. I could not believe it. I was going back till they closed the slopes as I has so much fun. Skis are excellent. My only comment is that they are a bit too slow on qick, narrow turns and abit stiff. They need some power to push them. But as I have it I did not mind. I had to buy them - last pair demo- 490 with Ros 120. I compared XXs to Dynastar SX ( very quick but mostly for goomed), Screem X 8 series ( very similar but Solomons are quicker and softer), Screen X 10 ( this year model very dissapointing), crossmax ( slugish), Ros Cobra ( OK , but no bliss) Similar Products Used: Salomon 10,8; Dynastar, Rossignio Cobra |

I was very disappointed in this skis'' performance. I expected these babies to really be the powder ski for me. When skiing the double X''s, I felt it was critical that my weight needed to be right over the boot. Even a little too much pressure on the front of the ski and the tips would dive. Perhaps the tips are a little too stiff to be an outstanding powder ski. Also, I think that most of these shaped ski''s would do better in powder if you went a little longer than what is recommended by the shop tech''s. |

These are great all around skis, I have skied them for about 3 months mostly on groomed where they are solid and smooth at high speeds and can handle any turn shape. Vibration absorbtion is excellent. They initiate turns easily from the tip and can change from GS to slalom turns quickly. They hold an edge well and carve turns if you angulate and find the wide center of the ski. They might even do well in a NASTAR course but haven''t tried that yet. They are great off the groomers in powder or heavy cut up snow. They do not turn quick in real heavy snow without a lot of effort, but not sure any ski does. They even do fairly well in moguls with the turned up tail. I think they will be the perfect ski for spring skiing from early morning crust to late afternoon cut up slush. I''m 48 in fairly good shape and skied K2''s since 1982. I like the Rossi XX much more than the K2 Axis because they are lighter and easier on my bad knee. I also liked the Atomics and would like to try Volkl. Overall I would highly recommend Bandit XX to any good skier for most any condition.
