I bought this jacket for $40 from a certified TNF outlet. For the price I could not be happier. It’s warm and comfortable, although I agree that the waist needs a little work. I don't think I would pay as much as some do for it though. It's a great layer for hiking and day-trips, but for multi-day trips it’s too bulky and not versatile enough. I would rather take up the room in my bag with a windproof fleece or a good old fashion wool layer. --The value rating here is for the MSRP, not the bargain I got-- Similar Products Used: EMS, Marmot, Lowe Alpine |

This 300 weight fleece jacket becomes and inferno when zipped inside of my TNF Mountain jacket. If you are active on the trails, you will BURN up (thank goodness for the pit-zips!) Similar Products Used: Patagonia!!! |

I got this jacket from a auction site. I like the jacket but I will agree with some of the other wearers that it is wide at the waist. Other than that, I like the fit. Great all around jacket. Similar Products Used: Patagonia retro Jacket |

I love this jacket. Fits nicely into my Mountain guide parka. Works well alone on chilly nights. Looks cool, great quality and the North Face offers a great warranty. $160 is too much, but you can easily find these for $100 if you look, at $100 or less it's a great fleece. Customer Service Awesome warranty / repair department Similar Products Used: None |

The Denali jacket is very warm and very comfortable. The pockets are nice and deep and it fits me well. The only problem I have is the collar, when zipped all the way up, is WAY too small. Not nearly large enough for it intended design. Also, the price is a bit high considereing what else you can get for cheaper. You're paying for the North Face name. Overall, though, this is a pretty good fleece. Similar Products Used: Columbia Fleece (just as good) |

I have two Denali jackets, one in blue and the other in charcoal. These are great jackets if there is no precipitation or wind. Great for day hikes on a chilly day and as an insulating layer underneath one of TNF's shell jackets. Similar Products Used: None |

This is a great jacket for cold weather activities, but it's just too bulky and heavy for long backpacking trips. The polartec 300 fleece is far superior than any other fleece jackets. The abrasion patches have worked well. The one flaw in this jacket is that it doesn't fit well around the waist: it is too wide. Customer Service I have never had to send anything in, but if I did I'm sure they would fix it at no extra charge. |

You should get a lot more for the price you pay on this jacket. It looks okay but it's functionality is similar to products costing much much less. A price of $50 is reasonable for it. The neck is kind of awkward when zipped up. I don't know why it costs a hundred bucks but I know I only have it because it was a gift. Save your money and buy a no name brand polartec 200. |

I wear this jacket constantly. It is wonderful... the only complaint that I have is the fit. The XL _almost_ fits me, but is a bit confining in the chest (especially the arm pits), so I bought a XXL. Holy cow, they really went overboard there... the chest is a little larger, but the gut section is about twice as large. I had to take it in to a seamstress for some major alterations. I like the fact that it will zip into the TNF shells, but I have found that for most activities that is overkill. Bottom line... if you find one of these on sale and it fits you well, buy it! Customer Service Have never called customer service. Similar Products Used: Patagonia fleece pullovers |
