Great lightweight headlamp! I''ve used this light numerous times and haven''t had to change the batteries yet. Throws alot of light and is perfect for around camp. I have not had to night hike with it yet though. My only complaint is the head doesn''t pivot up and down. But that is a minute problem for the weight savings and amount of light you''re getting. I also bought the colored filter pack for a few dollars more to preserve night vision around camp and while reading. The price seems a bit steep, but you''ll make it back on batteries in the long run I guess. Customer Service Haven''t had to use them. Similar Products Used: Petzel Zoom |

SWEET! This thing amazes me still after a year and a half of use. Uses practically no batteries, weighs nothing, and shines brighter than most other headlamps. I have used it in temperatures varying from -40 all the way to 110 degrees with no problems. A MUST HAVE FOR ALL SERIOUS OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS!!!! Similar Products Used: PETXL micro |

Used it down in the Yucatan car camping in my ''71 vw bus. It worked fine for caving (with new batteries) and riding the bike around. It worked best cooking, reading, and playing cards. My girlfriend kept stealing it because her headlamp was always going dead. Customer Service Havn''t needed it. Similar Products Used: none |

This is a nice, lightweight headlamp. Not as bright as a conventional bulb, but the light weight makes up for it. Ideal for reading as it casts a wide beam of light. The on off switch is garbage IMO. It can be easily turned on by accident and wear out the batteries prematurely. The switch has a "click" feature to overcome to turn the lamp on, but it will turn on a mid position also, before it is locked on. This is a really poor design. Otherwise, I like it. A definate 5 star rating if they fixed the switc Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: petzl zoom and micro |

Impressive performance. Very lightweight, and the best part is how stingy it is with batteries. I find myself reaching for it most of the time even at home. I''d prefer that it was ''aimable'', and time will tell if it can hold up, especialy the switch. I must confess I nearly sent it back upon first examining the construction/materials. The Tikka is, in my opinion, the perfect backpacking light source. It''s tiny, uses virtually no battery power and throws more than enough light for around the camp night time cooking, filtering, whatever. A halogen light makes no sense. They swollow batteries whole in a few hours and are also heavy. How much light do you need in the total blackness of a wilderness night? The Tikka is only a little less bright than a halogen but the light it gives is plenty. Customer Service never needed Similar Products Used: Petzl Duo |

I was skeptical at first of the small LED''s and their ability to cast light. But, after a full summer of use, I would use this headlamp for any activity, including alpine climbing. The LED''s cast plenty of light, and I have never felt the light inadequate while walking in the wilderness at night. The weight savings caused me to bite the bullet on the price, which I at first thought was outrageous. Now I feel it''s expensive, but worth it! I use this as a backup light. Or, when it gets dark at 11 pm and lights up by 5 am, this may be my only light. It''s bright enough to use around camp and makes a great tent reading light. It wouldn''t be my first choice for hiking at night. However, for saving weight, or as a backup, it''s a great product. Customer Service Haven''t had a problem with it.
