Great three season bag. I have used the Cat's Meow at temps below 20 (in conjunction with a hat and long underwear) and have been quite toasty. It is a bit bulky to pack but well worth the money! |

I've used the Cat's Meow for several years in varying conditions. For warm-weather camping and backpacking where you're going to run into damp weather, it's a great bag. I used mine for three months straight backpacking across Europe with no problems. However, this bag is not the best for winter or cold-weather trips. If you are cold enough to want extra clothing inside your bag, the fleecy liner tends to inhibit movement when it comes in contact with your clothes. |

Awesome. Going to buy another one for my girlfriend. Been used in damp conditions and kept me snug as a bug. Looks great too. Never needed more than shorts and t-shirt overnight up here in damp Westcoast of BC. Customer Service Been really happy with all North Face products. Have numerous items from the company. Their stuff costs more but I feel they're worth it. I'm not saying everything they make is the best but I have tried other products from other companies but in the end....North Face stuff triumphed. Don't like it much, too restrictive and not warm enough; therefore, overpriced. Have stopped using it, so I can't speak to durability issues. Similar Products Used: Slumberjack Jumbo Packer (awesome!) |

This is probably the best first sleeping bag to buy, IMHO. Inexpensive, very durable and warm. I bought this bag 5 years ago and is the one I throw in my pack when I go on weekend backpacking trips. Warm sleepers will fare well even in the teens. The outside fabric is treated for water repellency..though mine is starting to soak through, something a can of Nik Wax can take care of. Good all around bag Customer Service TNF customer service will stand by their products. Better yet buy it at REI and get 100% customer satisfaction gurantee. This is the greatest bag I've ever slept in.It is warm in the winter and perfect for summer camping. I am a boy scout of America, and I love this bag. I may only be 15 but I know a good piece of equipment when I see one, SCOUTS HONER. |

This is a great sleeping bag . I used it on a cold, rainy night and stayed warm and taosty. This bag retained its loft quite well, and so I'm surprised at the other's ratings of it. I think perhaps if they had used thier brains and shook it out a little and stored it in the storage bag, it would have kept its loft superbly. The drawsprings are great, only it does take a little while to get them pulled tight. The seams on mine are flawless, and the material stands up to a lot. A first, when I zipped the zipper down completely, I thought "oh no" because getting a zipper started is sometimes a big problem. But not with the cat’s meow! The zipper came right up easy as a pie. The only drawback is that at about 60 degrees, I start to sweat and the material clings to any bare skin. Opening up the bottom zipper or opening up the sleeping back completely solves this problem Similar Products Used: None |

Great for first season then polarguard 3D went flat. Also, even tall version too short for someone 6'-4". Similar Products Used: None |

I bought this bag this past summer because of it's history as a great bag and because of the deal campmor was offering (free mattress pad). Initially I was a little disappointed in the quality. The bag I received had no zipper pulls, and stitching was a mess around the head opening area with loose threads shooting out everywhere and sloppy stitching. I was a bit surprised at this, since a friend of mine has an older TNF bag with flawless construction. It seems as though TNF is now more concerned about maximizing profits than the quality of their product. This purchase has left a bad taste in my mouth and I don't think I will ever buy another North Face Product again. The free mattress pad and low price suckered me in, but now I wish I would have spent an extra 20-30 bucks for a bag made by a company that still makes equipent that is meant to be used! Customer Service Have not tried TNF cust. service, but Campmor seems pretty good. Similar Products Used: older EMS, TNF Down Bags |

I cannot recommend this bag. This is NOT a 3 season bag as it is supposed to be. My +15 degree bag is freezing cold at +40 degrees, and at 55 degrees I sweat. The zipper frequently snags, although this is a minor issue when you're worried about surviving a cold night! While $130 isn't alot for a bag, if it's virtually unusable it's not much of a value.
