I got this bag on a hell of a deal from Performance Bike Shop, a customer had ordered it and returned it unused, but for some reason it ended up on clearance, and nobody picked it up. I got it for $45. It would have been a good deal at $180, but at $45 it's unreal. The sleeping position is kind of restrictive (you have to stay on your back all night, no rolling over), and the shell seems like it might be flimsy. I haven't used it long enough to see if this will be the case yet though. A warm bag, with great construction and the usual North Face attention to detail.

Customer Service

Used to sell North Face products, and every contact we had with TNF on customers' behalf was great. They hooked me up with gear a couple times too.

I don't like this bag at all!! It is very restrictive compared to other bags I have used. Zipper snaggs every time. Temperature rating is way over rated, It is more like a 40 degree bag. The inside shell is uncomfortable. For the price it is not worth it. I am going to buy the Mountain Hardwear Alpine, I tried it out and it is great!! and less money

Customer Service

TNF gives great service.....I have two of their tents and i love them , but they missed the boat on the bags

Spent 5 nights in the Rockies with this bag. Had no problems. Although I don't think it actually dropped down to 15 degrees, I was warm with just pair of boxers at almost 13000 feet during cold and windy nights. This is signicant because I'm a very cold sleeper.
Spent 2 nights under the Texas heat. No problem either. Slept outside on a tarp and left the bag unziped. Never got too hot.

THIS BAG IS THE BEST IN IT'S CATEGORY. I HAVE USED IT IN ALL KIND'S OF WEATHER AND IT HAS NEVER FAILED ME OR MY HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR NORTH FACE PRODUCTS. IF PUT IN A COMPRESSION SAC I HAVE REALIZED THAT THIS BAG CAN BECOME THE SIZE OF A LOAF OF BREAD. IT IS SIMPLY THE BEST FOR THE PRICE.

This is a great bag, and there are only two reservations I hold in recommending it to my backpacking buddies: first, when packed into its stuff sack, the bundle is a bit too long to fit comfortably in the bottom compartment of my pack (an EMS 5500). The second fault is that I always wake up in a damp bag... this is as much due to the amazing warmth of the bag as to the fact that I've only rarely used the bag inside a tent.

This bag kept me warm when myself and a friend decided to go camping in the beginning of April in Plattsburgh, NY -- where night temperatures in the spring usually dip below freezing. My buddy was shaking in his boots, layered in clothes and his sleeping bag, while I was snug in my Cat's Meow and a pair of boxers.

Fairly light bag, could be packed to hike/bike. Great when used in combination with thermarest. Must be able to snooze on your back - plenty of leg room in length, but not width.

overall this is a great recreational bag. It is rated to 20 degrees, not unless you sleep in every artical of clothing you packed. A themarest pad is Highly recommended. It has enough room and is light enough for most cases.

I have used this bag extensively for two seasons now and have had no problems with it. Each little feature serves a good purpose. It has alot of attention to detail. Also this is one of the most versatile bags around. It is the kind of bag that works well with light wieght fleece inside for winter camping.

I have the regular Polarguard model Insulation is good Pad is mandatory Lining tends to get a bit ""sticky"" - needs to be re-designed with a diff lining leg room is a bit cramped - get a bit larger size than you think you need- I am 5, 7 and got the small size- shouldve gotten the med but I can live with this Biggest gripe is the lining...
